The Mohawk Valley Vascular Center is a cooperative program of Radiology Associates of New Hartford and Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare.
The Center is located within the Medical Imaging Department on the St. Luke’s Campus of Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare and has two state-of-the-art interventional suites.
Our focus is the prevention, early detection and treatment of various diseases with minimally invasive techniques using x-ray and other medical imaging technology.
The procedures performed at the Mohawk Valley Vascular Center carry less risk, result in less pain and have a shorter recovery time for patients when compared to open surgical procedures.

How the Center Began and Who We Are Today
The Center was created in 2000 as a collaboration between Dr. Christopher Max, Dr. Jorge Ferreiro, Dr. Gordon Archibald, Dr. Parvez, and Dr. J. Paul Badami to answer the need for non-invasive vascular surgery in the Mohawk Valley.
Today the Center, with its $1.8 million endovascular suite, provides the most comprehensive vascular and interventional radiology services available in the region.

About our Team
Our four Interventional Radiologists have more than 100 years of combined experience. The Center also includes several area Cardiothoracic Surgeons and Vascular Surgerys, Barbara Agans-Sweeney, PA-C, RTR, Medical Radiographers and Registered Nurses.
The team is committed to clinical excellence using the latest techniques, devices and equipment. The Center brings in speakers and experts several times a year to keep physicians, medical radiographers and registered nurses optimally educated.
